Welcome to the Clean Up KC Program, where you will have the opportunity to grow, be empowered, and be involved environmentally in your community. As we lay your financial foundation, we hope you utilize this time to plan how you can sustain your future.
"In order to build or lead, you have to first follow."
"We invest in your future, not your past."
Since the start of the Litter Abatement Pilot Project on August 2, 2022, Creative Innovative has combined Street Outreach and Clean Up KC, an employment component added within the magnitude of services needed. Since then, 85,320 pounds of trash and over 700 tons of bulky items have been collected.
This opportunity builds a bridge between the community and those who are unsheltered. Thus supporting clean environments with the removal of debris, items from illegal dumping, and the amount of trash in neighborhoods, thus minimizing community complaints.
This program allows unhoused, newly housed, and transitional living participants to be hired. Going through a 90-day process that transitions them over to more sustainable employment or career opportunities with Solid Waste.
